SZA’S #NOTBEAUTY LAUNCH

Grammy-winning artist SZA is expanding her creative horizons with the launch of her debut beauty brand, Not Beauty. The line made its official debut on April 19, 2025, coinciding with the start of her Grand National Tour alongside Kendrick Lamar. The brand's first release features a trio of lip glosses, each reflecting SZA's personal aesthetic and commitment to authenticity.

A Personal Touch to Beauty

SZA's foray into the beauty industry is deeply rooted in her personal experiences and needs. In interviews, she emphasized that Not Beauty wasn't about capitalizing on the beauty market but about creating products she genuinely needed. "Not Beauty wasn't about me trying to enter the beauty market," she explained. "It's about me filling a need, it's about me needing something that lasted as long as my show, as long as my conversation, as long as my date."

The Initial Lineup

The inaugural Not Beauty collection introduces three lip gloss shades:

  • In the Flesh: A nude-inspired hue.

  • Strawberry Jelly: A pink-tinted gloss.

  • Quartz: A classic clear gloss.

Each gloss is priced at $23 and ... , hydrating formula designed for long-lasting wear. The packaging draws inspiration from nature, featuring wood-patterned designs that align with SZA's emphasis on authenticity and connection to the natural world. Exclusive Availability

Currently, Not Beauty products are available exclusively at pop-up shops during the U.S. stops of the Grand National Tour. These pop-ups are open to all fans, regardless ... whether they have tickets to the concert. While there's no official announcement regarding a broader retail release, fans can sign up for updates on the brand's official website, NotBeauty.com.

Looking Ahead

SZA has hinted at expanding the Not Beauty line to include lip stains, liners, and creams, aiming to capture her signature layered lip look. As she continues to blend her artistic vision with her personal experiences, Not Beauty stands as a testament to her dedication to authenticity and self-expression.

For fans in Nanaimo and across British Columbia, while the pop-up shops are currently U.S.-based, staying connected through the official website and SZA's social media channels will provide updates on potential future availability in Canada.
